Have you considered use of other insulin sensitizing agents, such as Inositol? I’m currently weight cycling and have been supplementing 2g Inositol daily, motivated by the idea it could act similarly to Pioglitazone (though without the additional effects of protecting subcutaneous fat stores, of course), while being a little gentler, though I’m considering adding Pioglitazone soon.
